Living in or visiting Playa del Carmen and needing a good place to work has plenty of solutions. The city has grown as a destination for digital nomads, freelancers and remote professionals, and coworking spaces have grown with it.

Here are the ones I know and recommend most, depending on what each person needs.

Kiin Hub Cowork: our personal favorite

I'll be upfront about this one: Kiin Hub is first on this list because it's where we work. If you've ever messaged us to schedule a meeting, we were probably there, answering your message, preparing a proposal or on a video call with another client.

We chose it for the location. It's in Playacar, which feels completely different from downtown. Quieter, more residential, and with everything you need within walking distance: Paseo del Carmen, the ferry dock, restaurants, supermarket, convenience stores.

The space has shared desks, private offices and a meeting room. Coffee included, fast internet and an atmosphere that makes it easy to do good work.

If you want to meet us in person, you know where to find us.

Nest Coworking: the space with the most community

Nest is in downtown Playa del Carmen, on Avenida 10 between streets 12 and 14. It's probably the coworking space with the most community life in the city, with regular events, workshops and activities.

It has multiple work areas, a renovated terrace, hammock zone and a very dynamic energy. For those who want to connect with other professionals and digital nomads while working, Nest is the place. Monthly membership from $3,800 MXN, with 24/7 access. Google rating 4.8/5.

Bunker Coworking: professional and focused

Bunker is on Avenida 10 Norte at the corner of Calle 38, in the Zazil-Ha area. More corporate in feel, quiet and organized, with 500 Mbps fiber optic internet, unlimited printing, free snacks and coffee, and 24/7 access from the weekly plan.

For anyone who needs total focus and guaranteed internet speed, Bunker is an excellent option. Monthly membership from $3,300 MXN. Google rating 4.9/5.

Work It CoWork: biometric access and technology

Work It is on Avenida 10 Norte at Plaza Tendenza, with a more tech-forward approach. 24/7 biometric fingerprint access, meeting room with SmartTV, private phone booth and equipped kitchen.

For small teams or professionals who make a lot of video calls and need privacy, it's a solid alternative. Pricing on request.

CoWork-In: quiet and accessible

CoWork-In has a location in Playacar Fase II, on Avenida Aviación at Av. 50. Quiet atmosphere, fast internet, printer, kitchen, terrace and an active community. One of the most accessible options in the city, with monthly memberships from $2,100 MXN.

For the professional who prefers the south end of Playa and wants a reasonable price with everything needed, it's a solid option.

Cafés with good wifi: the informal option

For short sessions without a membership, Playa del Carmen has cafés with fast internet and a good atmosphere. Ah Cacao on Quinta, Vika at its various locations and Cuore 34 are favorites among the digital nomad community. For a few hours of occasional work, they work perfectly.

Which one to choose?

It depends on where you are and what you need. If you're in the south end or Playacar, Kiin Hub or CoWork-In are the most convenient options. If you want community and energy, Nest. If you need internet speed and quiet, Bunker. If you make lots of calls and need privacy, Work It.

Playa del Carmen has options for every work style. The city keeps growing and the remote work ecosystem grows with it.
